Human Resources Manager

Working under the direction of the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Manager is responsible for assisting in the management and implementation of Human Resources policies, programs and practices, including planning, organizing, developing, implementing, and coordinating.  Areas of focus include:  talent acquisition, employee relations, employee engagement, corporate culture and maintaining compliance with applicable laws.

PRIMARY DUTIES | RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Guides the talent acquisition strategy for the firm, including innovation and process improvement
  • Provides guidance and counsel to management and staff on business issues regarding staffing, termination and other employee-related matters
  • Assists in creation of and managing of job descriptions to assure they are accurate and up to date
  • Tracks and reports key metrics for identified HR processes
  • Conducts annual surveys and gathers applicable data
  • Administers FMLA/Leave of Absence
  • Manages payroll changes/updates
  • Conducts exit interviews, identify turnover trends, and implement corrective action within service lines as appropriate
  • Supervises HR generalist and talent acquisition team
  • Participates on committees, special projects and additional responsibilities

SUPERVISORY DUTIES | RESPONSIBILITIES

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION | EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in HR Management, Business Administration or related field is required; 5-7 years of progressive experience in Human Resources including employee relations, legal compliance, leadership coaching and talent acquisition/retention.  A minimum of 2 years supervisory experience required.
